Sustainable Engineering Design
At Dar, we emphasise sustainability throughout the entire design process. In regard to sustainable engineering, we integrate energy efficient and cost-effective mechanical, electrical and civil engineering solutions into the built environment based on sound science and building physics with experience in providing state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly building services. Our engineering teams are very experienced in designing in challenging climates to meet and exceed local green criteria and to fulfil engineering requirements for certification credits.
Our teams have a proven track record in coordinating and facilitating certification buildings under green building rating systems such as LEED, BREEAM, Estidama PRS, and GSAS. This includes providing designs that allows buildings to be certified to LEED Platinum and GSAS 5-star standards. Our teams also include more than 500 accredited professionals under these international rating systems.
We are active members of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), and are Service providers for the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS).
