Pedestrian Facilities
Pedestrian safety is a principal consideration in our engineering designs. Our teams model vehicular and pedestrian movements across a project site to identify points of conflict. They then develop facilities to separate pedestrians and vehicles. These facilities include pedestrian bridges and underpasses, pedestrian-only streets and pedestrian barriers.
Our transport planners have extensive experience in modeling and simulation for mass pedestrian movements. Our design of the expansion of the Holy Haram in Makkah in Saudi Arabia, for example, considers the millions of pedestrians who assemble very quickly.
