The Ras Al Hadd Development is a luxurious destination, featuring a five-star hotel, exclusive villas, and marine and leisure activities that create a community-centred atmosphere. Dar led the design and supervised the construction of this exceptional resort in Oman.

The project
The design emphasises the beautiful outdoor atmosphere of the beach, offering luxurious spaces that complement the elegant dining areas and conference rooms housed in the hotel. Dar prepared the masterplan review and final design, along with tender documents, for the hotel, residential villas, spa and gym, a beach club and a specialty restaurant. The development has a total built-up area of 26,000 m2 over a site area of 148,350 m2.
The Chedi Hotel is a 200-key 5-star hotel offering various amenities including an all-day dining restaurant, library, outdoor swimming pool, food and beverage facilities, meeting rooms and a business centre, Back-of-House and kitchen areas, and a pro-shop. With a total built-up area of 20,000 m², the building itself is comprised of a ground floor and four floors, including a rooftop. The hotel is also equipped with a dedicated car park with 310 parking spots.
Dar also designed 25 two-storey villas for a residential community, with additional amenities, including the Chedi Spa and Gym building, the beach club, and a specialty restaurant, offering guests and residents a relaxing and exclusive experience. Each building is comprised of a ground and roof level with total built-up areas as follows:
- Residential Villas: 4,174 m²
- Spa and Gym: 1,130 m²
- Beach Club: 275 m²
- Specialty Restaurant: 283 m²
