The project
With a built-up area of around 5,000 m2, the MRO hangar targets Pearl sustainability certification and features two hangar bays, maintenance shops, a parts warehouse, aprons and taxiways, and dry and wet utilities.

The project also covered roadway site accesses (including separate road access for customers, employees, and internal access). Additionally, Dar designed extensive site works to support the hangar’s operations, covering utilities, landscape, lighting, and signage. The team also designed a hazardous waste storage facility that can safely store waste, ahead of processing and treatment.
The project was envisioned to delivered new innovative services and a state-of-the-art, highly sustainable new facility that can better serve the United Arab Emirates’ aviation sector and support the expansion of the aviation company across the GCC region.
