As part of its community engagement efforts in the London Borough of Camden, home to the new London headquarters, Dar Group hosted a competition in collaboration with the Westminster Kingsway College for a group of Digital Arts and Photography students.

Fifteen students – all in their first year of the college’s UAL Level 3 Diploma in Digital Arts and Photography – took part in the competition, working to a detailed brief drawn up by Dar Group. The students received guidance, inspiration, and feedback from Dar Group professionals and specialists who both visited the university and hosted the students at the company’s offices.

The winners, chosen by Dar Group’s project team, were announced at an evening reception held on Wednesday 3 April at Westminster Kingsway College and attended by partner organisations, external parties, students, parents, and staff of both the college and Dar Group.

The winning design – created by Charlotte Alcock, Patricia Gallego, and Annie Koyce – will be printed and mounted onto a 3-m-high and 10-m-long area of the hoarding which surrounds the construction site at 150 Holborn in the heart of London, the new address of the Dar Group headquarters. The students’ design will be seen by the hundreds of thousands of people who pass through the prime London location.

The competition is among the first community engagement initiatives Dar Group will hold, as it prepares to move into 150 Holborn.
