Dar is proud to sponsor the Lebanese Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, one of the world’s most influential stages for architectural expression and critical discourse. Held from May 10 to November 23, 2025, the Biennale brings together architects, artists, curators, and thinkers from around the globe to explore how design responds to the complexities of the contemporary world.
Lebanon’s participation this year carries deep cultural, ecological, and symbolic weight. Presented under the title The Land Remembers, the Lebanese Pavilion is curated by Shereen Doummar, Edouard Souhaid, Elias Tamer, and Lynn Chamoun of the Collective for Architecture Lebanon (CAL). Officially commissioned by the Ministry of Culture in partnership with the Order of Engineers and Architects, the pavilion brings Lebanon’s voice to a critical international platform.
The Land Remembers is a call to reflect, and a refusal to forget. Drawing from centuries of local knowledge and relationship with the land, the pavilion explores the ancient intelligence of the Lebanese landscape, its capacity to nurture, to resist, and to remember. Rather than offering conventional solutions or infrastructure, the exhibition turns to more elemental forms of understanding. At a time when Lebanon faces alarming levels of deliberate environmental degradation, the curators issue a powerful challenge: to see the land not as a passive backdrop, but as a protagonist in a shared story of revival and regeneration.
Dar’s sponsorship of the Lebanese Pavilion is deeply meaningful. With a legacy of design and innovation across the region, Dar stands in solidarity with this national effort to reclaim and reimagine Lebanon’s identity through culture and nature. Supporting the pavilion reflects Dar’s belief in architecture as a form of dialogue and advocacy that can awaken new ways of thinking about land, belonging, and the future.
Lebanon’s presence at La Biennale di Venezia has always been driven by visionary commitment. This year’s pavilion continues that legacy, offering an urgent and poetic expression of what it means to care for a land that has long cared for its people.
Dar is honored to support The Land Remembers and to stand beside the Lebanese creative community as it shares its story with the world.
