From November 26 to 28, the first ever IFMA Global Middle East Summit – hosted in collaboration with Future FM at the Dubai World Trade Centre – brought together leading experts and innovators in facilities management. Held within the prestigious Big5Global summit, the event spotlighted cutting-edge technologies and best practices shaping the future of the facilities management sector, with a focus on sustainability, resilience, and operational excellence.

As a leading provider of facilities management services globally, Dar was proud to participate in the summit and share insights into how digital transformation and sustainability are revolutionizing the facilities management industry.

Commenting on the event, Dar’s Sector Lead for facilities management Samir Kaddoura said, “In a market defined by rapid change and elevated user expectations, facilities management is the critical backbone of resilience, future-fitness, adaptability, and sustainability in the built environment. Blending world-class facilities management expertise with sustainability consulting and digital innovation, we are on a mission not just to maintain buildings and infrastructure but also to empower people, protect the environment, and deliver assets that create value for generations to come.”

Dar’s participation at IFMA Global Middle East Summit included two talks.

Dar’s Director of Digital Solutions, Faysal Shair, delivered a presentation on AI-powered fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) and its role in enhancing facility management. He explored the applications of predictive maintenance and anomaly detection, demonstrating how AI-driven FDD can add exceptional value to stakeholders across the region by optimizing performance and reducing operational disruptions.

Later the same day, Dar’s Director of Sustainability, Balsam Nehme, led a discussion on innovative facilities management approaches for existing assets. She highlighted Dar's strategies for reducing whole-life carbon emissions, enhancing resilience, and delivering better outcomes for people and the planet.

The summit underscored the growing importance of resource-efficient and sustainable practices in facilities management. Dar’s participation reinforced its commitment to leading the industry by leveraging technology and sustainability to create smarter, greener, and more resilient built environments.

We look forward to contributing further to the evolution of facilities management in the region and beyond.
