Dar brings unique insights into the aviation industry in the United Arab Emirates. Dar has – for over 20 years – supported the growth, expansion, upgrade, and development of the Dubai International Airport, supporting its transition into a vital transit hub in global aviation. To guide and cater for the exponential growth of Dubai International Airport and its role in modern aviation, Dar prepared a series of airport master plans beginning with a land-use plan in the year 2000 up and extending to the Dubai International Airport 2020 Expansion Plan. Dar was also responsible for driving forward projects such as Terminal 3, Concourse A, Concourse B, the expansion of Concourse C, Concourse D as well as the expansions of Terminals 1 and 2.
In 2024, Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) – the visionary developer for Dubai’s aviation sector – also announced Dar as the Lead Consultant for master planning and designing the new Al Maktoum International Airport, which DAEP envisions as a next-generation, smart, innovative, and highly sustainable airport of the future. Set to become the world’s busiest airport by passenger volume, Al Maktoum International will serve 260 million passengers a year in its ultimate phase, transforming Dubai into one of the world’s greatest aviation hubs and accelerating the Emirate’s growth as a premier business and leisure destination for the global community.
Drawing on these experiences, Dar’s experts, exhibiting at Stand S1430, will be sharing our company’s world-renowned expertise in aviation planning, design, engineering, and facilities management consultancy as well as our experience in providing services for some of the world’s most ambitious new airports.
