Dar was proud to host Transaid’s 2026 Showcase at 150 Holborn on 20 October 2026, welcoming Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Patron and founding member of Transaid, alongside industry leaders, partners and supporters to celebrate the charity’s achievements in improving road safety and access to healthcare across sub-Saharan Africa.

The event provided a special opportunity to recognise 20 years of partnership between Transaid and the Industrial Training Centre (ITC) in Zambia, highlighting two decades of commitment to professional driver training, safer transport and developing local skills.

Zambia also holds particular significance for Dar, which has a legacy spanning more than 60 years across the continent. Through our involvement in the Zambia–Lobito Railway Link, we are helping to advance a major transport corridor connecting Zambia to Angola’s Port of Lobito, supporting regional connectivity, trade, and long-term economic development.

Daniel Horner, Managing Director & Partner, Dar and Sidara, commented:

"It was a privilege to welcome Transaid and Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to 150 Holborn. We believe that infrastructure is ultimately about improving people's lives. Our work in Zambia and around the world reflects that commitment, and Transaid's achievements demonstrate just how much can be accomplished through long-term partnerships, investment in local skills and a shared ambition to create lasting positive change."

We extend our sincere thanks to Transaid for the opportunity to support this important occasion, and to all those whose dedication continues to make a tangible difference to communities across Africa.
