Blending multidisciplinary technical expertise with world-class sustainability consulting and digital innovation services, Dar’s facilities management and digital experts empower clients across industries to optimise day-to-day operations and elevate strategic long-term planning – creating assets that perform better across the metrics that matter. As part of this commitment, Dar is pleased to announce its participation in Facilities Management Day 2025, a key event that brings together leaders and innovators from across the facilities management industry.
Taking place on 7 May 2025 in Athens, Greece, FM Day 2025 is organised by IFMA Greece and will feature insightful discussions on a broad spectrum of topics, from energy management and the circular economy to digital technologies and the challenges of managing unique facilities. The event aims to foster meaningful exchange and highlight the strategies, tools, and practices shaping the future of the profession.
John Markey, Head of Facilities Management Services at Dar, and Daniel Cope, Senior Smart Building and Technology Consultant, will take to the stage to share their expertise and perspectives on the evolving role of technology and sustainability in facilities management.
As part of the conference, John will share his extensive expertise in facilities management, drawing on over three decades of global experience. John has driven transformative strategies rooted in digital integration and data analytics, delivering value through optimised performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with international standards. His work spans high-profile clients such as Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, Diriyah Gate Development Authority, Mubadala, and Aldar. At FM Day 2025, he will contribute to discussions on managing unique and complex facilities, and the strategic approaches required to meet modern FM demands.
Joining him on stage, Daniel will speak on the role of digital innovation in facility management. With over 15 years of experience in smart building technologies, Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge in integrating systems that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. At Dar, he played a pivotal role in the digital transformation of Sidara’s landmark headquarters at 150 Holborn in London – an intelligent, high-performance building designed to achieve LEED Platinum, BREEAM Outstanding, WiredScore Platinum, and SmartScore Platinum certifications. Central to this transformation was the implementation of Dar’s in-house developed digital twin platform, PARA OS. With patent-pending technology and recognised as the world’s first UL Smart Systems certified solution, PARA OS enables real-time monitoring and control of building systems, including CO₂ emissions. It facilitates predictive maintenance and supports sustainability by simulating various scenarios to identify energy-saving measures and optimise resource allocation. Daniel will share insights on leveraging AI, IoT, and data-driven platforms like PARA OS to shape the next generation of smart, connected, and environmentally responsible facilities.
FM Day 2025 will feature a series of sessions that explore core themes central to the future of the industry. Topics will include the management of unique facilities, digitalisation in facility management, and sustainability and energy management. Attendees can expect a rich programme of case studies, expert insights, and practical approaches addressing the unique challenges and opportunities within each theme. The event will highlight how digital tools, smart technologies, and sustainable practices are reshaping the built environment and enhancing service delivery.
Dar is proud to contribute to this important dialogue and looks forward to engaging with industry peers and partners at FM Day 2025. To attend this event, please register by 29 April 2025.
