The 17th U.S.-Africa Business Summit is currently taking place in Luanda, Angola, from June 22 to 25, 2025. Organised by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Angola, the summit brings together over 1,500 key stakeholders from more than 40 countries, and across Africa and the United States. This includes Heads of State, ministers, senior U.S. government officials, and executives from leading U.S. and African companies, all convening to strengthen trade, investment, and business partnerships.
With Angola celebrating its 50th year of independence and assuming the Chairmanship of the African Union, the summit provides a powerful platform to highlight Angola’s vision on the continent and its expanding economic ties with the United States. Dar and Sidara were honoured to contribute to this important discourse and are pleased to host a dedicated booth within the summit’s interactive exhibition space. The booth offers attendees an opportunity to engage with our team and explore our capabilities, ongoing initiatives, and impactful projects across Africa as well as all over the world.
Throughout the event, participants are engaging in high-impact panels, matchmaking sessions, and policy roundtables focusing on infrastructure, energy, healthcare, finance, and the digital economy. The summit also places a spotlight on transformational projects such as the Lobito Corridor, which is connecting Angola to neighbouring economies such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, and Tanzania, unlocking regional potential.
Our participation in this prestigious summit reflects our longstanding commitment to Africa’s development and our deep-rooted presence in Angola. Dar has been active in Africa for more than five decades. Our impact over this time has included projects across multiple high-impact sectors, including but not limited to airports and ports, healthcare facilities, power plants and transmission lines, railways and transportation infrastructure, and schools. Meanwhile, Sidara – with two of its pillar firms based in the United States – brings perspective and participation to cover both sides of the summit.
For over 40 years, Dar has proudly contributed to Angola’s infrastructure and socioeconomic advancement, with our portfolio spanning renewable energy, including seven photovoltaic power plants designed to supply clean energy to over one million people; vital healthcare institutions such as the Institute of Paediatric Haematology and the Centre for the Treatment of Endemic Diseases and Pandemics; water and hydropower projects such as the Cambambe Dam and the integrated water resources management plan for Cunene Province, and participation in the development of new provinces of Cuando and Moxico Leste. We are also honoured to have supported landmark national projects such as the National Assembly and the National Archives.
As the 2025 U.S.-Africa Business Summit continues to highlight the strength and potential of U.S.-Africa partnerships, Dar and Sidara’s participation serves as both a reaffirmation of our commitment to the continent, a commitment to establishing global partnerships to support local development, and a celebration of our enduring journey in Angola.
