The MEP Middle East Awards 2024 have spotlighted the achievements of Dar’s Tareq Samhouri, Mohammad Hafiz, and Ban Bani Ata, who were highly commended for their remarkable contributions as Project Manager of the Year, Technical Manager of the Year, and Young Engineer of the Year respectively. 

Now in their 18^th year, the MEP Awards serve as a platform to celebrate excellence in MEP design and installation across the region’s dynamic construction landscape. This year’s event brought together industry leaders to celebrate the winners and the highly commended, highlighting the achievements of the top people, projects, and companies within the region’s electromechanical, HVAC, and public health sectors. 

Spotlight on our exceptional team members

• Tareq Samhouri – Project Manager of the Year (Highly Commended)

Motivated by innovation and excellence, Tareq has demonstrated technical expertise and exceptional leadership in electrical engineering and project management. Throughout his 16 years at Dar, he has led complex projects, specifically in renewable energy, pushing industry standards with innovative approaches. His remarkable achievements include managing Jordan’s first floating photovoltaic plant and other technically complex and large-scale projects. Tareq recently became Dar’s Head of the Electrical and Telecommunications Department within Dar Amman, a testament to his ability to set new standards in the industry.

• Mohammad Hafiz – Technical Manager of the Year (Highly Commended)

A highly skilled electrical engineer, Mohammad has consistently excelled in leading complex, large-scale projects. With over 18 years of experience at Dar, he has driven innovation and sustainability across various sectors, including healthcare and education. His leadership has been instrumental in successfully managing the integration of MEP systems, notably in the award-winning and groundbreaking Almoosa Specialist Hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mohammad’s commitment to excellence and sustainability reflects his deep expertise in handling challenging engineering tasks, marking him as a leader in the industry.

• Ban Bani Ata – Young Engineer of the Year (Highly Commended)

In just one year, Ban has made significant progress as an electrical engineer at Dar, establishing herself as a rising star in sustainability and renewable energy. Her experience spans multiple prestigious projects, including photovoltaic plants and advanced urban developments in Dubai and Oman. Ban’s passion for research and sustainability drives her work, resulting in a diverse portfolio that includes projects adhering to international standards. Notably, she has made significant contributions to power infrastructure projects, utilising advanced modelling tools to support innovation and excellence within her teams.
