The Cairo Metro Line III (Phase 4B) project has recently been named Engineering News Record’s 2021 Global Project of the Year in Rail and Transit.
The award identifies and honours the project teams behind outstanding design and construction efforts of the past year.
The first transversal line linking east and west Cairo, the Cairo Metro Line III will meet enormous transportation demands along its route.
Dar was responsible for preparing the detailed design of the line, along with its elevated stations, viaducts, and a heavy maintenance depot with 32 buildings, and all related infrastructure.
